This training is designed to build understanding, confidence, and practical skills for responding safely and appropriately.

- Definitions of Domestic Family Violence and Coercive Control
- Brief review of recent QLD legislative changes (what this means in practice)
- Specific information around DFV risk factors intersecting with housing and homelessness
- Working with People Using Violence (overview)
- Safety Planning
- Understand referral processes for DVConnect delivered by the Service Integration Coordinator
DVConnect provides state-wide domestic, family and sexual violence helplines, supporting people to live free from violence and facilitating access to safety.
This training will be facilitated by DVConnect’s Quality and Training Manager, an Accredited Family Violence Social Worker (AASW) and a highly experienced and dynamic facilitator.
