Event description
Respectful Relationships Critical Friends Workshop

About this Event

On behalf of the Outer East Respectful Relationships team you’re invited to attend an introductory session on the Respectful Relationships (RR) Initiative and the role of community organisations as Critical Friends.

The purpose of this workshop is to provide an overview of the RR Initiative and other DET programs which support a whole school approach. The workshop is for agencies who currently work with schools or would like to start working with schools, with an opportunity to be involved as a critical friend in 2020. The workshop is also for current Critical Friends with a presentation of two DET programs that support RR, School wide positive behaviour and the Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships teaching and learning materials.

This is a great opportunity for TFER partners to be involved and learn more about the RR program in schools and support the further role out in 2020. Members can attend the workshop with no further commitment but for those interested in becoming a Critical Friend to schools another half day workshop will be organised in January which will focus on the school gender audit process in preparation for the new schools that come on board in 2020.

Please share this opportunity within your organisations to those who may be interested in becoming a Respectful Relationships Critical Friend.
