Event description

Description

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a part of a court case? Even wanted to be a part of a court case, in a real court room? Based on an actual case, this is your opportunity to do just that! Gippsland Community Legal Service is giving you the chance to be a part of this real life like experience, so you can 'explore the law' during Law Week 2018.

“I’ve killed my Best Mate”

You could be the Magistrate, Police prosecutor, defence lawyer or one of many other roles? Taking on the role of your character, we will provide you with costumes and props and you will read from a script of the proceeding of an actual case. (We promise, no one will actually be going to jail).

Our mock court room drama will give you the opportunity to be part of plea hearing about culpable driving causing death and the reality of death on our roads and its impact on family, friends and the wider community.

Your free interactive experience will include, showbags and a light lunch.
