Description

Two day workshop - 30th of March and 6th April, 9am-4pm. Both days to be attended.

Facilitated by the Red Cross, the resilient leaders training supports community members and volunteers to build networks and connectedness in their community, provide community leadership and take actions that increase resilience. The two day workshop covers 6 sessions:

- Conversations and public speaking – learn how to start conversations about emergency preparedness and support community groups to take local actions.

- Community engagement and connections – tips on how to build stronger relationships in your community and neighbourhood.

- Leading and supporting a group – build your leadership skills and learn you can support others to take action before, during and after emergencies.

- Emergency planning – develop your own emergency plan and learn how you can assist others to create their own.

- Resilience and Psychological First Aid (PFA) – we will cover the PFA principles and what makes a community resilient.

- Organising events and activities – how you can run your own event and take part in activities to increase your community’s resilience.
