Description

Glenis Wilkinson YOGA + MEDITATION are thrilled to continue with this series, and welcome back guest speaker Nicki McCosker-Dell from Resilient Thinkers.

Nicki will once again create a nurturing space for self-reflection, and offer a number of ideas to help you to nourish and support your mental and emotional well-being.

In this interactive workshop you will learn practices, strategies and mindsets that will help you to:

• consciously use your unique strengths and resources to support your emotional and mental well-being
• Build a stronger sense of optimism in day to day life, and for facing the big and little challenges of life
• decrease,manage and prevent anxiety
• feel more confident and resourceful in creating an 'upward spiral' when life leaves you feeling low or overwhelmed
• having ongoing support, as you will receive a 'Resilient Thinkers Toolkit' (PDF) which summarises what you learn in the workshop

Nicki McCosker-Dell is a Counsellor and the Founder of Resilient Thinkers. She simply loves to share with her audiences practices for positively responding to the sources of stress that life presents. These are practices that expand your emotional intelligence, involve healthy problem solving skills, self-care, and techniques to overcome some of the negative wiring of the human mind.

In the second half of our afternoon together we move to our yoga mat where Glenis will guide you through a gentle practice of Life Force Yoga - Yoga for Depression and Anxiety, pranayama -yogic breathing, mudra - hand gestures, mantra - sound, yoga postures and yoga nidra.
Learn how to respond and connect with your breath, incorporate mudra, mantra, to meet the mood and create a sense of balance and centeredness.
Discover how to move your body with ease and mindfulness, incorporate mantra, during your yoga practice, increasing the flow of energy.
You are invited during iRest® Yoga Nidra to experience a deep state of relaxation and move from the stress response into the relaxation response.
