Event description

Description

The energy mix of Australia’s power grid is rapidly changing owing to the large-scale integration of inverter-connected renewable energy sources. This change in the energy mix has necessitated the augmentation of the existing National Electricity Market (NEM) ancillary services and an introduction of new market products to the NEM, as these services are essential to maintain grid stability and reliability. This workshop will discuss a breadth of aspects such as technical, economics, policy and rule changes required to redefine these services for the future power grid to be ready now.
