Tracing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander family histories poses a unique set of challenges. In this half-day introductory workshop, learn more about the Koorie Heritage Trust, the Koorie Heritage Unit at the State Library of Victoria and the Koorie Records Unit at the Public Records Office of Victoria and the National Archives of Australia, and what resources are available.

Topics covered will include:

  • Tips on staying organised
  • Overview of useful available records
  • Researching names and places
  • Access conditions of records
