This workshop gives you strategies for growing your online networks and further developing your research profile. It covers:
Tips for curating good area content for a research profile,
Best ways to approach research/academic blogging, and
How to create shareable content from research data/findings.
This workshop presumes a basic working knowledge of Twitter and online profiles such as Google Scholar, Research Gate, and LinkedIn.
WHY SHOULD I ATTEND?
Being savvy with social media is a desired (and increasingly expected) aspect of research engagement and research profile establishment. Using social media well can increase your citations, and lead to approaches from media, industry, and potential collaborators.
