Description

Launch of the Research Development and Mentoring Scheme at Bond

All inspirational academics from research and teaching interested in mentoring, please join us for a cocktail reception to celebrate the launch of the Research Development and Mentoring Scheme at Bond University!

Mentoring typically enables an individual to follow in the path of a more experienced colleague. The mentor can pass on specific knowledge and wisdom in an area that the mentee wishes to develop, can help them to identify and take up opportunities and introduce them to new networks. Effective mentoring improves confidence, productivity and success of the mentee and enhances career satisfaction of both mentors and mentees.

Academic Mentoring assists an academic reach their potential through a supportive relationship that focuses on professional and career development. The mentor encourages the mentee to identify their goals and aspirations, then empowers the mentee to pursue and achieve them. Mentoring schemes have the potential to create transformational change – both at a personal level and as a university.

Join with us in the launch of the Bond University Research Development and Mentoring Scheme to raise the profile of mentoring at the University while creating new opportunities for academics at every stage of their career.

Please contact Jeff Brand or Tanya Forbes for more information.
