Practical Ethical Considerations in Clinical Research (Ethics for Research)
Ethics in research is often perceived as a hurdle to be struggled over.
This seminar will show how it can be embraced by researchers as a powerful tool to enhance study design and conduct. It will empower researchers to think in ethical terms without seeing themselves as “bio-ethicists”.
Presenter: Doctor Nik Zeps
Nik is the Group Director of Research at Epworth HealthCare in Melbourne and a former member (2006-2012) of the Australian Health Ethics Committee of the National Health and Medical Research Council (NHMRC) of Australia.
He is the Australian Representative on the Ethics and Governance Committee of the International Cancer Genome Consortium and has been a member of Human Research Ethics Committees since 2002.
