Building your Personal Brand as a Researcher

27 March 2020

Seminar Synopsis:

As a researcher, it is difficult to reach out to the public and broadcast your work. Building and maintaining a "brand" will help set you apart.

This seminar will provide you with the tools to connect with other researchers, build your network, and in the long run, effectively translate your research to a wider audience. Further your reach or get on top of your burgeoning brand by coming to this new seminar for health researchers!

Presenter:  Dr Kenneth Lee, BPharms (Hons), PhD BCPS FHEA

Dr Kenneth Lee is a senior lecturer in Pharmacy Practice at UWA. In 2015, Dr Lee was recognised as the PSA WA Young Pharmcist of the Year. Dr Lee awas honoured for connecting the state's pharmacists through the WA Pharmacists' Discussion Forum.

His teaching and research interests revolve around the theme of 'health education and learning in the digital age.' Dr Lee's interests are supported by his PhD research on consumers' online health information-seeking behaviours, with honours research on the use of electronic portfolios to support authentic assessments for pharmacy students, and creating/co-creating various social media channels for health professionals and students.
