Event description

Description

The 2019 Research Integrity Forum will focus on the theme of co-authorship in graduate research. While there is considerable diversity in disciplinary approaches to publishing during doctoral research, the contemporary research landscape is increasingly geared towards the timely production of outputs, presenting challenges as well as opportunities. What are the ethical considerations of publishing from doctoral research? How are teams managed to produce high quality outputs? How do we negotiate authorship, ownership and supervisor contributions? What factors might govern a decision to hold off on publication? How do we manage the presentation of publications within the doctoral thesis?

The forum will bring together a panel of scholars from different disciplines with divergent traditions of authorship in graduate research, alongside representatives from the Ethics Biosafety and Integrity Office and the RED Unit. All researchers, especially graduate researchers and supervisors, are encouraged to attend.

Who should attend?
