This is an event for women and their families affected by ovarian cancer and we have an impressive line-up of oncology health professions who are experts in their field.

Parking: Discounted passes are available for the Wilson car park located underneath the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
The discounted car park passes are $18.50 each and are for use only at the Wilson car park. Please note they will not be accepted at the South Wharf car park or any other car parks surrounding the centre.


Refreshments on arrival and a light supper will be served late afternoon.

Nikki Burdett medical oncology fellow at the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, works in gynaecological cancers and early phase drug trials. Her area of interest is acquired resistance in high grade serous ovarian cancer, and she will commence her PhD on this subject in 2020. Nikki will present on 'Clinical trials and research in ovarian cancer'.


Dr Carrie Lethborg is an oncology social worker and a leading expert in cancer care. She is the Clinical Leader, Cancer Social Work, Co-ordinator Psychosocial Cancer Care at St Vincent's Hospital Melbourne. Carrie has more than 20 years’ experience supporting people with cancer and their families. Carrie is an outstanding presenter and will cover 'The emotional impact of ovarian cancer & fears of recurrence'.


'Treatment, side-effects and symptom management' will be discussed by Anne Mellon a registered nurse who holds a bachelor's degree in nursing, a graduate certificate in gynaecology nursing, a graduate certificate in cancer nursing, and a graduate diploma in cancer nursing. She has worked in gynaecological oncology for 12 years, beginning as a ward nurse at Royal North Shore Hospital (Sydney, Australia).


Hear from Jan Antony an ambassador for OCA, Jan was once a photographer and ran various home-based businesses, but at the age of 49 Jan was diagnosed with breast cancer and then in 2008 Jan was diagnosed with advanced stage 3 Ovarian Cancer.
