Please join us for a keynote lecture from the University of Tasmania's Dr Lyn Goldberg, Senior Lecturer, Wicking Dementia Research & Education Centre.

Having fun with unexpected research opportunities: From Tasmania to the United States and back.

My primary school in rural Tasmania had one room with six grades; my high school was in the city. After graduating from the University of Melbourne, I headed to the United States for further study, intending to be there for a year or two... After 35 years, I returned to Tasmania in 2014 to join the Wicking Dementia Research and Education Centre. Throughout this journey, my research experiences have been varied, enriching, and always with unexpected and rewarding opportunities. My current work at Wicking, with funding from the Australian government and the support of UTAS and community colleagues, is yet another exciting adventure. I look forward to sharing this fascinating research journey with you.
