Event description
Learn how solar power and other sustainability initiatives can provide environmental and economic wins for your health service.

About this Event

This workshop will provide information about innovative local programs, informing you how to reduce your health service's ecological footprint and, in many instances, save money in the process.

You'll not only hear from experts in the field but also have the opportunity to explore your specific situation with them individually.

Speakers will cover:

  • The relationship between climate, health and healthcare delivery;
  • Transitioning to solar (the clinic perspective);
  • Solar installations: getting help with project design and understanding the role of the solar installer;
  • Financing your health service's sustainability projects through council rates; together with
  • Key sustainability initiatives for healthcare including an outline of the 'Global Greening and Health Hospitals' program for hospitals and health services alike.

Importantly, this event also provides a valuable opportunity to network directly with other local health services and practitioners from Moreland.

Light refreshments provided.

This project is supported and funded by the Moreland Community Grants Program. No fee will be charged for attendance.
