Event Information
About this Event
This is a reminder email to our loyal supporters and friends to purchase tickets to next week's annual lunch. If you don't wish to use EventBrite, you can use direct deposit to BSB: 032719 Account no. 243317 (please insert your full name).
The Canberra Committee of the Children’s Medical Research Institute (CMRI) has much pleasure in inviting you and your friends to join us for a delicious gourmet lunch, champagne, wine, punch and our iconic petits-fours.
The Committee selected Thoroughbred Park this year as we had approached and visited many local rural properties in the ACT and NSW. All property owners were reluctant to offer their gardens due to the drought and water shortages, most believed their gardens would not be up to our high standard for hosting the annual lunch in November. Other well known Canberra venues were unavailable this year.
Accordingly, this year's lunch is completely different from last year. Lunch will be served to guests, no lining up, seating will be at beautiful decorated tables with covered chairs. We will be offering entertainment, MCs and an auction of a "High Tea experience in the Pavilion restaurant at Pialligo Estate for 15 people, which will include a selection of sweet and savoury treats, as well as quality tea, coffee and a glass of sparkling. "
In addition, we are offering a Christmas shopping experience with numerous stalls selling exclusively designed jewellery, handcrafted wines, home-made jams & conserves, gourmet olive oils, vinegar and soap, upmarket aprons, handmade chocolates, pashminas, exclusive French tablecloths, watercolours, pencil drawings and gift cards. We will be selling our famous CMRI Christmas cakes, puddings, gingerbread, chutneys, major raffle and CMRI merchandise.
If you cannot attend this year's lunch, please consider a DONATION or purchasing the major raffle tickets online, your tickets will be mailed to you. Accordingly, you do not have to be present for the major raffle draw, prizes will be delivered to you.
