Please join us to honour and acknowledge our veterans’, both past and present at the 2017 Remembrance Business Breakfast.

The breakfast will be held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on Friday 10 November 2017 commencing at 7.00am – 9.00am.

We are delighted to welcome Colonel Richard Mallet, soldier, pilot, 3D-athlete and Director of Adaptive Sports; Talissa Papamau, former Australian Army Medic and Founder of Modern Soldier Social Media – Executive Director Remembrance Foundation and
Brendan Hardman a decorated ex-Australian Army Officer, Royal Australian Artillery (Captain) and participant in The Road Home’s Wellbeing Program and the Invictus Pathways Program as the keynote speakers for our 2017 Remembrance Business Breakfast. The Australian Girls Choir will also be performing.

Colonel Richard Mallet has over thirty years of command, leadership and management experience in the British Army and Australian Defence Force. Richard has served in the Falkland Islands and South Georgia, Europe, East and Southern Africa, the United States and Canada, the Middle East and Cyprus.

Richard is currently the Director of Adaptive Sports Program – enhancing quality through life for serving members and veterans using the power of Adaptive Sports. He is also fully engaged in preparing the combined ADF/RSL team for the Invictus Games.

Fomer Australian Army Medic Talissa Papamau knows first-hand about Post-Traumatic Stress and is working through her own recovery of her injury of service. She has developed tools for managing Post-Traumatic Stress including a series of online videos to help others navigate their condition and seek help. Talissa is currently involved in veteran health research projects, has written a book which DVA now publish and distribute and is on the Board of the Veterans Film Festival.

Brendan Hardman a decorated ex-Australian Army Officer, Royal Australian Artillery (Captain) and participant in The Road Home’s Wellbeing Program and the Invictus Pathways. With physical and psychological injuries, you will hear how he is on the road to recovery and hopes to play for the State in wheelchair basketball and participate in the Invictus Games.

The official proceedings will include:

Recitation of the Ode: Chris Burns CSC; Mental Health Commissioner SA and Veteran

In Flanders Fields: Sandra Croft LCDR; Royal Australian Navy, Executive Officer, Joint Electronic Warfare Operational Support Unit

MC: Mike Smithson, Seven Network

Special performance by the Australian Girls Choir.
