Friends Who Are Going
Event description

Description

In the 1970s, Carlton was a creative hotbed with no place hotter than the Pram Factory. Simultaneously a radical alternative theatre run by the performers, the birthplace of arts organisations including Circus Oz, and the launching pad for artistic careers across many disciplines. Its legacy echoes through the Australian arts today.

Join Pram Factory members Sue Ingleton, Bill Garner, and Robin Laurie, with the host of Radio National’s Books and Arts show Michael Cathcart, and Gabrielle Wolf, the author of Make it Australian: The Australian Performing Group, the Pram Factory and New Wave Theatre, for a panel talk that promises to reveal a rich and very special part of Melbourne’s creative history.

Free. Places are limited, bookings essential.
