Relish Food & Wine Festival

The 8th annual Relish Food & Wine Festival will be returning to the Mary River Parklands and Queen’s Park in 2021. Maryborough's heritage streetscapes and riverside parks are the perfect setting for a feast of local cuisine serving up celebrity and local chefs, gourmet tastings, cooking workshops, live music and more. Drop-in on local regional wineries for a delightful tasting experience and sample the finest seasonal produce grown in the Fraser Coast's and surrounds idyllic natural environment.

Indulge in food and beverage matching sessions, listen to leading foodies as they share the fruits of their work, and learn from talented chefs who provide the unmistakable stamp of the region in every dish. Be transported back to old Maryborough with a lesson on high tea etiquette from Miss Etiquette, hear the stories of the Bond Store’s past while sipping a tipple of port or listen to the team at Odyssey Bistro tell you the stories behind their food and drinks. If you are looking to just relax try a leisurely cruise down the Mary River aboard the Amaroo, chill with a MAD Stylist’s Gourmet Cheese Platter, escape the crowds with a 2-hour feast overlooking the Mary River Marina or savour the taste of low and slow-cooked BBQ ribs. There is plenty more to keep you busy including street food vendors, craft beer bar, live music, go for a ride on a heritage steam train, visit the Maryborough Military & Colonial Museum or just while the day away under the shade of Queens Park’s historic trees.

General admission tickets include entry into the event precinct, access to two live music stages, wineries, street food vendors, craft beer bar and more. If you want to make the most of everything Relish Food & Wine Festival has to offer, consider adding a return bus transfer ticket to either Hervey Bay or Bundaberg with our friends at G & D Ross.

Tipples & Tales - Bond Store:

Enjoy a Tipple and a Tale in the historic Bond Store Basement. Indulge in live performance and storytelling in the beautiful heritage building while you sip on a tipple of port & special liqueur cocktail.  You will meet the Gauger and hear his stories of the Bond Store's past.

Brew and Blues Cruise - Hervey Bay Boat Club:

Unwind aboard the Boat Club's M.V. Amaroo to soulful blues rhythms laid down by acoustic legend Matt Phillips. With picturesque banks of the Mary River as a backdrop, you'll sample "4 Pines Refreshing Ale" a premium craft beer, "Brookvale Union Ginger Beer" a refreshing alcoholic ginger beer or some of Robert Oatley's wine selections. The fully licensed Amaroo is a spacious 20m catamaran boasting three viewing decks including a shaded rooftop and comfortable main deck saloon. The perfect platform for a soulful jaunt down the Mary River.

Twilight River Cruise- Hervey Bay Boat Club:

What better way to make your way home from Relish Food & Wine Festival than by a Twilight River Cruise along the Mary River? Unwind aboard The Boat Club's M.V. Amaroo as you enjoy the sunset on the beautiful journey back to Hervey Bay. There will be a bar on board with "4 Pines Refreshing Ale" a premium craft beer, "Brookvale Union Ginger Beer" a refreshing alcoholic ginger beer or some of Robert Oatley's wine selections plus other drinks for purchase. The Twilight River Cruise will be departing from the March Street Jetty at 3.15 pm, arriving at The Hervey Bay Boat Club at approximately 6 pm.

Odyssey: A Food & Cocktail Journey - Odyssey Bistro:

The team at Odyssey Bistro have curated a tour to give insight and share the stories behind the food and drinks they will serve.  The team will showcase a variety of produce sourced directly from their farmers.  The chefs will be using these items to create a selection of dishes for you to enjoy.  The drinks selection will utilise spirits and ingredient sourced from the Fraser Coast region, enjoy unique cocktails offerings to keep you refreshed while enjoying the tour.

Feast on the Deck - The Deck & Anchor:

Take a break and head down to enjoy a session of live music, drinks and a soul satisfying feast at The Deck & Anchor on the Mary River Marina. Let chef’s Toni & Dean take your tastebuds on a culinary adventure consisting of fresh locally sourced Steak, Seafood, Chicken and produce. Wash it down with locally sourced Australian wines and beers beside unequalled views of the silently flowing Mary River.

Cheese & Chill - MAD Providore:

Welcome to "Cheese n' Chill". Pre-order a Gourmet Relish Platter for 2 people, bask in the sunshine, put your feet up & enjoy the beautifully styled chill-out zone or take advantage of the quiet & shady spots in Queens Park and take away your cheese platter. Monday Distillery Non-Alcoholic, Sugar-Free Beverage and picnic rugs can be purchased on the day, for yourself & your entourage to enjoy whilst at Relish Food & Wine Festival. Platter includes Cheese, Charcuterie, Fruit, Breads, Antipasti & Chocolate.

Pimm's High Tea - Portside Cafe & Restaurant:

Enjoy elegant handcrafted sweet petit fours, ribbon sandwiches, scones with cream and house-made jam, paired with a glass of Pimm’s, fresh orange juice, espresso coffee & loose-leaf tea selection.  With fantastic views overlooking the Mary River and Queens Park, learn from Miss Etiquette about the origins and etiquette of the High Tea in a heritage-listed setting.

Coffee Lovers - Portside Cafe & Restaurant:

Experience an insight into the world of coffee tasting and appreciation. Hosted by knowledgeable and passionate baristas, this session provides a multi- sensory opportunity to sample coffee and experience coffee on a whole new level, while learning about coffee origins and the roasting and brewing process, from farm to cup!
