How non-cognitive measures of student performance relate to academic outcomes and the future of jobs in Australia

Hope for the future, Engagement with school and Well-being are the key factors have been identified as drivers for students’ academic grades, retention and future employment. Come and join us to hear what 9,000 Australian primary and secondary school students have to say about the state of education in their Australian classrooms.

In this session you will hear from Gallup researchers, educators and consultants as to the status quo and actionable insights to address the learnings from five years of Gallup Student Poll in Australia.

The presentation panel:

Linda Lenord, Head of CSI (Culture, Support and Innovation) at Heritage Christian School

Linda is a member of the senior executive at Heritage Christian School. She also works with other schools assisting executive teams implement cultural change through a strengths based approach. Linda is passionate about creating school cultures that provide all students with hope for their futures and a strong sense of wellbeing and welldoing.

Marie-Lou Almeida, Senior Consultant at Gallup

Marie-Lou has worked in Gallup for over 18 years and has had the opportunity to work across industries such as Healthcare and Ageing, Banking, Public Sector, Manufacturing among others. In this role, she works closely with clients to bring about positive change. She does this by identifying business problems and developing solutions to address those, using Gallup’s Employee and Customer analytics and Insights. She also works as a coach with senior leaders using a strengths based approach.

Marie-Lou’s top five strengths are: Maximiser | Individualisation | Arranger | Adaptability | Responsibility
