Event description

On 1 December 2017, the NSW Government opened expressions of interest and announced Transport for NSW (TfNSW) is seeking to provide seed funding and partner with industry, researchers, local councils and businesses to develop and co-deliver a number of connected and automated vehicle trials across regional NSW.

Lessons we collectively learn from these trials will help us identify and implement new, creative and better ways to deliver transport to our customers. It will also help industry develop technology, products and services that can be deployed to deliver improved mobility for customers.

Prior to the expression of interest process closing TfNSW will provide an opportunity for respondents to discuss their emerging proposals in interactive sessions with a panel of TfNSW stakeholders.

Feedback will be provided in real-time to enable fast iterations and refinements. These presentation and feedback sessions will provide an opportunity to co-design trial and use case ideas with TfNSW and assist proponents in developing project proposals that deliver high quality and collaborative end-to-end trials.

The sessions will be conducted in accordance with the terms and conditions under the RFEOI, WS1178853443.

There are some key principles that shall apply to the interactive sessions:

  • confidential and commercial propriety information will be protected, unless information should be made available to all respondents
  • anything discussed will not commit or limit TfNSW or you – positions and proposals may change
  • the sessions are not part of the evaluation process.

Interactive Sessions Details

The interactive sessions will be held around the state in late February 2018. Dates, times, durations and locations will be allocated following the closure of registrations. TfNSW will group interactive sessions in designated locations to streamline the process.

Details of the sessions will be confirmed with registered parties by COB Friday 16 February 2018.

The attendees at each individual interactive session will be limited to TfNSW staff and the registered attendee’s nominated representatives.

Please note, to ensure fairness, interactive sessions are limited to one session per organisation, irrespective of the number of bids being proposed. In addition, only one registration is required per organisation (i.e. you are not required to register every attendee for the session individually. The details of all attendees will be confirmed when the sessions are confirmed).

Registrations will close at COB 9 February 2018 after which time no further bookings will be accepted.

Further details about the trials are available on the Smart Innovation Centre website, and procurement documentation is available for download via the NSW e-tender portal.
