Event Details

RegenAG®invites you to attend their three-day Biofertiliser course to be held at Peninsula Fresh Organics’ Barham property run by Wayne & Tash Shields, 5th generation market gardeners. This hands-on course delivered by RegenAG’s own Kym Kruse, a leader in the field of regenerative agriculture, is designed for commercial farmers and is delivered to small groups of no more than 15 participants.

You will learn practical methods to make your own products, which will greatly benefit anyone spending

crippling $$ on conventional inputs or those who have gone ‘organic’ but are still shopping for inputs.

This course is for you if you want to:

  • significantly reduce the cost of your inputs;
  • learn how to solubilise minerals yourself rather than purchasing ready-made soluble mineral fertilisers;
  • learn how to recognise, capture and reproduce beneficial microbes;
  • increase the water-holding capacity of your soils;
  • control pests and disease with reduced artificial chemicals; and
  • increase your soil, plant and animal health.

For Farmers in NSW - Claim up to 50% of eligible costs upon completion of this course. See our website at for more details or visit the NSW Governmenrt website.

What is Biofertiliser?

Biofertiliser is a ferment made from a biological base in water and enriched with foods to feed biology and minerals for biology to digest. The final product becomes a solution that contains chelated minerals,  biocoloides, hormones, biocatalysts, and micro-organisms. It can nourish, regenerate and activate life in the  soil, it revitalises plants and stimulates their immune system against disease, fungi and insect attack. It can also  be used as a substitute for expensive chemical and biological fertilisers.

Why should I attend?

At the end of the course you will have been taught the methods and processes to actually make these inputs  yourself rather than having to purchase our products year after year. The course is a small investment in your  education and farming enterprise that will pay for itself very quickly and free you from ever increasing input  prices.

The three-day course includes topics covering:

  • Plant nutrition and the direct relationship to pest & disease
  • Biofertiliser production from a range of readily available biological bases
  • Mineral Chelate recipes - individual minerals + multi-mineral mixes
  • Native Microbe production & uses - biofert, lick blocks, livestock health, extractions
  • Pumpkin biofert - phototrophics + alternative biology for biofert production
  • Soluble phosphorus production from raw materials
  • Mineral recipes for bug control + plant nutrition
  • Mother brew recipes for mass biofert production
  • Reproduction of beneficial microbes - N fixers, trichoderma, metarizium, pseudomonas florence
  • Sulphate utilization
  • Extracts - alcohol, native microbe & hot water methods
  • Biol production from various biological sources
  • Lime Sulphur incl. variations on the base recipe
  • EM/LAB manufacturing & multiple uses
  • Cattle lick blocks, loose mineral mixes, liquid mineral supplements, pasture flavour improver
  • Fish hydrolysate production
  • Alternative fungicides + early/later powdery mildew control
  • Seed coating
  • Bokashi compost + alternative composting methods
  • Quality control testing of bioferts
  • Chromatography practice for soils
  • Application rates & equipment
  • Mechanisation & up-scaling of processes

Using biofertilisers can save you money.

Farmers all over the country have benefitted from this course having applied the methods across a wide range of crops and climatic conditions. From vegetable producers to citrus growers to sugar cane farmers; the results speak for themselves; lower cost of production, increased productivity/quality, and improved soil health.
