Event Information
About this event
Disability SPOT is proud to present our first event for 2022. This is a rescheduled event that wasn't able to run last year.
Reframing Disability is a peer-led organisation empowering families of children with disability, developmental delay, and medical needs.
The team draw upon their lived expertise and professional backgrounds to empower other families. They offer unique benefits to families that complement and enhance the support they receive through allied health professionals and educators.
Through co-design with families and professionals, they create resources, share stories, presents workshops and offer peer support to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence for their child and family to thrive.
In this interactive presentation, our panellists will discuss:
• How a family centred approach can support children and their families.
• Building collaborative and positive partnerships that recognise the knowledge of families and professionals.
• The integral role of therapists in influencing the whole family.
Come along and hear the panellists reflect on their personal lived expertise and have the opportunity to ask questions.
Please note: The recorded webinar is available for members only.
