Inequality has been called the vital issue of our age. Australians cherish the notion that ours is an egalitarian society, yet since the mid-1970s inequality in Australia has steadily increased.
Per Capita is delighted to host Dr Andrew Leigh MP, Member for Fraser, and Labor’s Shadow Assistant Treasurer and Shadow Minister for Competition, to explain the rise of inequality in Australia.
Dr Leigh, who recently hosted a conversation with Thomas Piketty at the Sydney Opera House , is the author of several books, including Batters and Billionaires, launched by Per Capita in 2013, which tells the story of inequality in Australia.
Please join us at this forum with Dr Andrew Leigh and Emma Dawson, Executive Director of Per Capita.
