The internationally renowned ELISION Ensemble began as a group of Melbourne students from the Victorian College of the Arts in the 1980s with the intention of engaging with and performing a diverse range of Australian contemporary music. Over the past 30 years ELISION have become one of Australia’s most successful new music exports and have performed with composers working at the edge of instrumental virtuosity and notational complexity in the UK and the US.
As part of the RMIT Gallery exhibition ELISION: 30 years (9 September - 22 October) founding members Daryl Buckley and Peter Neville (pictured) discuss their musical journey with audiences in the exhibition space, sharing memories from Melbourne to Milan.
