This workshop will introduce you to passive design principles that will save you energy at home. These principles are handy whether you are renovating, building from scratch or buying a new home.
Passive design is all about taking advantage of the climate to maintain a comfortable temperature in the home and reduce your energy use.
Learn about understanding your climate, home orientation, shading, passive heating and cooling, sealing and insulating your home, thermal mass and glazing. You'll also learn handy language to help you hold your own with planners and architects.
Applying passive design principles will make a huge different to the environmental sustainability, comfort and ongoing energy costs of your home.
