Statement of Attainment in Music Business Fundamentals

In this course you will be part of a team working on a professional project, guided by music professionals, learning skills used in various parts of the music industry. This starter course is a good way to taste the full-time Certificate III in Music Industry (Music Business).

Statement of Attainment in Music Performance Fundamentals

Diploma of Music Industry (Electronic Music Production)

(1 year, 2.5 days a week, no pre-requisite, VET Student Loan available)

If you want to be an electronic music producer or recording artist, this is the fast track for you. Compared to our normal Diploma in Sound Production, which is for producing organic bands, this Electro course doubles up on the recording software. While the other guys are the big studio spending hours to get a full band mic'd up and sounding good, you instantly get a professional, amazing sound from the software instrument, so you can jump straight into creative choices. If you show up and participate, you will finish with radio-ready polished tracks for sale in the market. We teach you to sell your music online everywhere globally, get your Soundcloud and Facebook together, advertise on Facebook cheaply. Plus you will take it to the stage using Ableton Push controllers.

Certificate III in Music Industry (Performance, at EORA & Ultimo)

Or are you a singer, musician or songwriter? Do you love performing? Do you see yourself in front of an audience? This is the music performance course for you. You will have lots of time playing in bands while you learn improvisation, songwriting, live performance, notation, handling the business and launching your career.

Diploma of Music Industry (Performance)

(2 Semesters, 2.5 days/week, VET Student Loan available)

You will become more advanced at playing in bands, improvisation, performing live, writing songs, notating music, handling the business and launching your career. If your skills get to a professional quality, we will help shop you to industry.

Advanced Diploma of Music Industry (Performance)

(1 or 2 Semesters 2.5 days/week depending on previous experience)

This course will make you professional and launch your music career. In addition to advanced stagecraft, improvisation and world-class songwriting, you will produce market-quality recordings of your music, distribute it globally online, promote it, make a music video for it, package yourself as a recording artist, showcase live for industry and build a team you can go forward with beyond the course.

Certificate III in Music Industry (Business)

(1 semester, no interview, low cost subsidised course)

In this course you will learn about all the job functions in the music business, so you can plan your career and get ahead faster. You'll put on a show, promote it and play on it if you want. You'll learn copyright to protect your songs and get royalties. You will also learn how to stay on top of emerging digital distribution, publicity and promotion strategies.

Diploma of Music Industry (Music Business)

(1 semester after doing Cert III, low cost subsidised, VET Student Loan available)

You will learn to develop and manage recording artists, negotiate record deals, plan tours & promotion campaigns, create advertisements, get sponsorships, raise money with crowd funding and grant writing, do distribution deals, promoting social media, producing music videos, licensing music for Film/TV/Commercials and more. You will learn how how to make money with publicity, social media, grants, crowd funding, gigs, airplay, merch, digital and physical sales, and much more. Staff will assist you in getting work experience, internships and job placement.

Cert III in Music Industry (Sound Production)

(1 Semester, 2 days/week)

This course is for anyone who wants to be a music producer, audio engineer in live or studio, using music production & recording software and mixing. There is also a lot of employment in live music too, so you will learn PA systems, staging & lighting.

Diploma of Music Industry (Sound Production)

(1 year duration after doing Cert III)

This will drastically improve your audio engineering skills in studio recording, live sound production, sound for film & TV, as well as computer based music production and composing for screen, Our Diploma graduates leave as well rounded professionals able to work in a large range of audio engineering contexts.

Cert III in Live Production & Services

(1 Semester 2 days/week, no pre-requisite)

There is a huge shortage of skilled people in Live Production at places like the International Convention Centre. This course trains you to join this high growth industry. You'll become qualified for job opportunities in live production, from clubs to concerts to corporates, conferences and theatre. In venues on and off campus, you'll learn PA systems, mixing live music, staging, lighting including followspots, hazers and washes, projection/visualisation systems, event management, and will qualify for a construction WHS Whitecard.
