RECORDED WEBINAR: 'The Uncondensed Version'
The Building Designers Association of Australia will host our next condensation event happening in April/May, presented by Andy Russell
As we continue on our journey to a future of sustainable building, the ever-present question of condensation management has slowly moved up the agenda. Failure to understand, adapt and address the risk of condensation poses direct threats to the quality of the structures we build and the health of their occupants. This is why, now more than ever, it is important to have a New Conversation about Condensation.
The Building Designers Association of Australia will host our next condensation event in April/ May, presented by industry expert Andy Russell of Proctor Group Australia:
Andy has worked with building envelope specialists Proctor Group in the UK and in Japan, including a spell on secondment to a major prefabricated house manufacturer. In his suitcase on arrival in Australia in 2007 he carried some of the first vapour permeable ProctorWrap membranes seen here. He was a contributor to the first edition of the “Condensation Handbook” published by the ABCB in 2011 and has presented across Australia on this subject to BDAA members, and the AIA Refuel National Seminar Series. Andy is motivated, however possible, building by building, to improve the health and comfort of our built environment and positively impact the mental and physical health of current and future generations of their occupants.
This is a 6-part series that will take place 1 hour a day, 2 days per week, for 3 weeks in a lunch and learn style.
Designers will earn 6 Formal CPD points.
Thermal Performance Assessors will earn 1 x Category 1 CPD point for knowledge in relation to NCC & 2 x Category 2 CPD points for attending this event in relation to Industry Knowledge.
