Event description

Description

Are you new to business, or thinking of starting a small business?

Good record keeping is important even before your first transaction occurs.

Good record keeping can save you time and helps you to claim all the deductions to which you’re entitled.

So give your business the best start!

REGISTER NOW to come along to this FREE workshop run by ATO staff.

You'll learn:

  • why good record keeping is important

  • what records to keep and for how long

  • tips for retaining good records

  • where to get help and support

  • an introduction to ATO online tools and reporting.

We’ll show you an example that demonstrates:

  • typical transactions,

  • how to deal with cash receipts

  • payments, and

  • how to report amounts in the activity statement.

We will show you online tools and resources that can help you and you’ll have the chance to ask questions.

This is a great opportunity for you to network.

Please bring a pen and calculator. After the event we will send you a short online survey – we value your feedback and suggestions.

See Google Maps for exact location. Manufacturing Technologies Centre location.

Please note that the University of South Australia has a Pay by Plate parking system. Attendees should park in unreserved car parks in car park ML1, ML3 or ML18. See visitor parking map link http://www.unisa.edu.au/Campus-Facilities/Maps-Tours/Mawson-Lakes-campus/Visitor-Parking-Map/. You should note your vehicle registration number and proceed to the parking machine near security. You will need to enter your registration details and then pay $0.20 per hour (coin or card payments accepted) and collect your ticket. You do not need to return the ticket to the vehicle. The licence plate recognition (LPR) system used identifies the validity of virtual permits (v-permits) and payments for all vehicles and to also verify vehicles are parked in the appropriate zones. Fines apply for illegal parking.

Alternate parking is in Technology Park near Innovation House or in the shops around Main Street.
