Event Details

In today’s polluted world, poor food choices, stress related diseases and the rise of a range auto immune conditions, it seems our lymphatic systems are under siege.
Our lymphatic systems two main roles are the removal of waste its role in the immune system. It therefore stands to reason that we pay more attention to the way it works, ways to improve it and strengthen it and help it do its job more efficiently.
In this one-day workshop Angela will discuss the anatomy and physiology of the lymphatic system. Discuss stress and its impact on the lymphatic system. Discuss the different lymphatic diseases. Demonstrate breathing exercises to help improve lymphatic flow, demonstrate the benefits of Lymphatic drainage.
At the end of the workshop you will know how to spend one whole massage session on Manual lymph drainage and  in the power point presentation she will discuss both the short and long term impacts that MLD has on the client.

Angela first trained as a nurse in New Zealand when she was 18. She nursed in various hospitals throughout WA for the next 11 years.
In 1991 she then formed a service for 11 hospitals in Perth WA. Here she worked as a private practitioner delivering massage and WA flower essences to help patient’s pre and post-surgery helping reduce stress, manage pain and increase energy.
She continues to work as a massage therapist and has now completed qualifications as a Lymphedema therapist. She has been working closely with clients to help them reduce the problems associated with this disease in two private practices in Perth.
She continues to see clients for Manual Lymph Drainage as a whole body treatment and is encouraged by the remarkable benefits regular MLD gives to clients not suffering from Lymphedema.
