Measures to contain the spread of COVID-19 can lead to increased risk for people living in a household affected by domestic and family violence (DFV). To support general practices to respond to DFV during this time, Brisbane South PHN is offering free, RACGP accredited training to learn more about how to support your patients affected by DFV

Through a case study the training will explore practical measures that can be taken by each member of the general practice team and also outlines DFV referral pathways in your practice’s local area.

Brisbane South PHN invites and encourages whole-of- practice engagement with this training as it is designed to help the whole practice team to notice subtle clues and patterns that often are only visible in the waiting room or on the telephone.

You can now access the recently updated, Recognise, Respond, Refer training at your computer through participation in an interactive online presentation. This training is still relevant to practices that received the previous RRR training. Register for a one-hour session to learn more about the role of primary care in responding to DFV in your region.

This interactive training is delivered by expert trainers from the Queensland Centre for Domestic and Family Violence Research and is accredited for RACGP CPD Activity points (2 points/ hour).

Tickets per event are limited to 20 participants.
