Recognise Campaign Launch and Public Forum
Wed. 2 November 2016, 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm AEDT
The University Council approved that the University of Tasmania adopt the Recognise Campaign Partners Network Charter which supports the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Australian Constitution. The Chancellor announced the University’s support of the Recognise Campaign during National Reconciliation Week and in signing the Recognise Campaign Charter, the University has joined a collective voice of approximately 300,000 individuals and organisations.
Join us at this official celebration of the University's commitment to the Recognise Campaign and hear from panellists as they explore the issues that support the recognition of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples in the Constitution, and dealing with residual racial discrimination within it.
