Three eminently qualified speakers will address the legal and practical significance of three recent High Court decisions on private law:

Dr Felicity Maher (Senior Lecturer, UWA Law School; Barrister, Quayside Chambers) will discuss Thorne v Kennedy [2017] HCA 49 on undue influence, duress and unconscionability


Dr Ben Gauntlett (Barrister, Francis Burt Chambers; Lecturer, UWA Law School) will discuss Ancient Order of Foresters in Victoria Friendly Society Ltd v Lifeplan Australia Friendly Society Ltd [2018] HCA 43 on accounts of profits


Mr Yannis Vrodos (Solicitor, Herbert Smith Freehills; Sessional Tutor, UWA Law School) will discuss Pipikos v Trayans [2018] HCA 39 on part-performance
