Description

“Too much to do and not enough time” – it’s what many say and maybe its true. There IS a point where a person cannot fit anything more into a schedule – time is, as we know, a limited resource. But what if there were some simple tricks to make the most of the time a person has available?

Most time management books don’t effectively teach how to maximise self as a resource in such a way that works in the context of ‘real life’ demands. This module takes into account that real-life happens and we all get snowed under at times. It looks at strategies that actually work for people who have a lot to do and who struggle to fit it all in.

About the "Thrive Not Just Survive" Series:

There are six modules in this series:

  1. Emotional Energy
  2. Sleep
  3. Working Relationships
  4. Emotional Wisdom
  5. Real-life Time Management
  6. Purpose and Passion

You are welcome to do just one module or to do them all!

You can do them in the order that suits you - picking and choosing from a variety of times scheduled throughout the year. For example, you may opt to attend the modules on Emotional Energy and Sleep on Wednesday evenings in in February, Emotional Wisdom on a Saturday afternoon in July, and finish the series off with attending Working Relationships, Real-life Time Management + Purpose & Passion all day Saturday in October.

If you would like to take advantage of the discount for booking to attend the whole series, simply select the "Complete Series" option from the ticket list for the first module you are going to attend and pay the discounted price for the series. Hold off on booking the remaining five modules until we've forwarded you a code that you'll need to book into the other modules for free. By doing the bookings this way, it gives you the flexibility to choose from the full range of scheduling options available in the year.

Refreshments:

Light refreshments (typically fruit & biscuits) with tea/coffee/water will be served at every workshop. If you are registering for multiple modules on one day (eg.the three modules scheduled on a Saturday), and those modules encompass a meal period (eg.lunch) you will need to BYO your meal. The venue has a microwave if you need to heat up your food on these occasions.

The venue:

We'd love for you to find the right place easily.... so make sure you come to the QNMU Building at 53 Thuringowa Drive in Kirwan (on the same side of the road as Kirwan High, but on the next block closer to Willows Shopping Centre).

We'll be in one of the rooms just off the foyer and be close by to greet you in person - so you won't get lost.

Parking is in on the street. It's usually not too difficult to find a parking spot on the side street if the ones out front are taken.

The venue is wheelchair accessable. Let us know that you need accessibility as there is only one wheelchair accessible parking space on site at the back of the building. We can arrange to reserve the front parks for people with limited mobility if we know that you are coming.

We have five fabulous Occupational Therapists based in Townsville who will be sharing the delivery of the "Thrive Not Just Survive" series for you: Christine Coop, Philippa Lawrence, Corah Mawere, Karlee Hannan and Mary Anne Anderson.
