Event description

Description

Recent Government initiatives to alter the live music scene have left advocates for live music in Sydney in a position where they must fight for not only nightlife but live music culture as a whole. Tyson Koh the founder of the Keep Sydney Open Party is doing his best to save Sydney's previously vibrant music culture and has positioned himself as the face of this critical debate. Koh's next initiative is a half-day seminar, presented by SIMSR, held at UTS where he will discuss the effects of the 2019 NSW State elections on Sydney's live music culture with a range of speakers including JMC's own Lachlan Goold.

Admission is free with RSVP and there will be 2-3 sessions of structured discussion time. Lively participation in these discussions is welcome and the sessions will be followed by refreshments and live music.
