Description

Just for Friends

Enjoy a relaxed afternoon talking about books with a guest convenor and group discussion. In celebration of Jane Austen’s upcoming 200th anniversary, this month’s book is the classic Mansfield Park. Dr Joanna Penglase, editor of Sensibilities journal from the Jane Austen Society Australia will be our guest convener. Keep your eye out for other Jane Austen anniversary events at the Library.

Mansfield Park (1814) is the third published novel by Jane Austen. It is the story of Fanny Price, who as a child is sent to live in the household of her wealthy aunt and uncle by her overburdened family, and follows her life through to her marriage.

Includes afternoon tea and reading notes.

Booking Essential.
