Event description

Description

Join us in the speculative repair workshops to bring e-waste back to live.

We will introduce you and help you to use different techniques to create new lives for broken or obsolete electronic devices. These are the techniques we will have:

* Mending to restore pieces and original function of broken devices
* Hacking to combine, transform and adapt existing objects to create new ones
* Storytelling to create fictional and non-fictional stories to make old devices meaningful
* Subvertising to create packaging, labels, posters and spoof ads to question, challenge and subvert the value of devices

There will be facilitators and allocated spaces for each technique during each day.

We will propose a series of individual and group repair projects for participants; or you can bring your own ideas and work on your own project. The workshop will be open for three days (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday) you can come anytime you want and as many days as you need depending on the project you want to do.

All the projects done in the workshops will be presented in our closing exhibition event on Friday 20th March
