About this event

Following the Welcome to Country, join our rangers on a leisurely guided walk along the new walking trail at Parnka Point. This is a loop trail and will take 1.5 hours.

Parnka Point is the narrowest point between the northern and southern lagoons and there are panoramic views up and down the water. Across the water are the ever changing sand dunes of the Younghusband Peninsula.

Abundant birdlife is a feature of this walk and waders are commonly seen fossicking in the shallow and sheltered bays.

Please note that the event will be cancelled in the event of severe weather or if the day is declared a Total Fire Ban.
