About this event

Nruggie Ngoppun means good walk in the Ngarrindjeri language. Join our rangers on this easy loop trail which starts at the Salt Creek township and follows a path through low scrub to the point at which Salt Creek enters the Coorong. See the fish passage which allows fish to pass both ways through the outlet.

Abundant birdlife is a feature of this walk and can be viewed from a number of vantage points. Panoramic views of the southern Coorong lagoon and sand dunes of the Younghusband Peninsula are provided at the headland.

Please note that the event will be cancelled in the event of severe weather or if the day is declared a Total Fire Ban.
