Rainbow Storytime
Event Information
Description
We are doing readings of children’s books about diversity, all are welcome, especially families.
We are very pleased to be partnering with Diversity ACT, who are kindly providing the venue. The Diversity Hub has a lovely enclosed grassy yard including a shaded playground and pergola.
Please bring some money, as there will be a sausage sizzle and refreshments available to purchase, with all proceeds towards Diversity ACT’s valuable community work.
Our talented storytellers will read a few books to the crowd, afterwards there are lots of spots to sit together and read a book with just your family and friends. Books will be available but you’re very welcome to bring your favourite books too.
FAQs
Will there be snacks?
Yes! Food and drinks available to purchase (cash please). All funds raised will go towards Diversity ACT's great work.
What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
The Diversity Hub is near the Kambah Woolshed, Laidlaw Place is off Springbett Street (which links to O'Halloran Circuit off Drakeford Drive). There is a small amount of parking available directly outside the Hub and in adjacent streets.
Please contact us if you are interested in carpooling.
Otherwise, there are buses:
* Bus 960: Get off on O'Halloran Cct past the shops. If you're coming from Tuggeranong, it's the one just after the shop near Boddington Cres. If you're coming from Woden, don't worry if you accidentally choose a Boddington Cres stop - they are fairly close, but best to wait till the first stop on O'Halloran itself.
* Bus 962: This is the less-good bus, it doesn't get as close to the useful end of O'Halloran Circuit. If you choose this bus, there is a bit of walking involved.
There are safe spots to park your bike inside the Hub grounds.
Where can I contact the organiser with any questions?

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?
Definitely not! Please bring your kids, family, friends.
Is my registration/ticket transferable?
Yes - your ticket is free but you're welcome to transfer it if needed.
What can I bring into the event?
Please bring your favourite book! And sun protection - areas are shaded but slip slop slap of course. If you need special food or drinks please bring them too.
Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
No, and you can even attend if you don't have a ticket! (but registering helps us know how many people may attend).
Where did you get that fantastic photo?
