Description

In celebration of our end of year graduate exhibition and fashion show, Raffles are holding free workshops around the creative industries. Conveniently located at the Ambush Galleries at Central Park, these workshops are free and open to the public.

Wednesday December 7th:

1:00pm - 2:00pm

Graphics Are Bloody Everywhere: Veteran designer Edward Coffey reveals how graphics shape the world around us and influence the way we think. This active workshop will run you through the basics of the design thinking process and give you ideas about how this can help you become a better lateral thinker.

2:30pm - 3:30pm

Light Play: Ever wondered how great photos are achieved? Learn to control the light and you're half way there. This hands on workshop will teach you the basics of lighting set ups and get you thinking about how you can enhance all of your photos. Professional photographer Sarah Abad will guide you through the process.

Thursday December 8th:

1:00pm - 2:00pm

Inside Instagram: The leading platform for the fashion and food industries; learn how instagram went from zero to hero in its short conception and how you can use it to turn people's attention to what you do. Run by Raffles fashion marketing guru Sabi Sohrabi, this session will have your hashtags on point in no time.

2:30pm - 3:30pm

Draw or Die: Almost everyone could draw before they could write, but only a few have continued to develop their skills in it. Acclaimed illustrator and Raffles educator Alan Chen will have you sketching freely before you know it, and give you inside tips on how to sharpen your visual communication skills.
