About this event

This information session will be presented by Islamic Society of Geelong, Islamic Council of Victoria, the Geelong Multifaith Network, the Centre for Muslim Wellbeing, Victoria Police, and the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission.

In the session, you will have opportunities to engage with the presenters and learn about a your rights, the different ways to report and respond to racism and Islamophobia, and the different support options available.

Some of the questions explored in the session include:

  • What can I do if I have experienced racism or Islamophobia?
  • What is vilification and discrimination?
  • Why can reporting be important?
  • What are my human and legal rights?

Geelong Mosque will provide light refreshments and lunch.
