About this event
With Western Australia becoming our most popular travel destination, RAC encourages Western Australians to travel safely. Regional roads can be very different to those close to home and when planning your next holiday, RAC want to ensure you are prepared and ready to get to your destination safely.
During this session you will learn how to manage your journey with road trains, caravans, wildlife, and unsealed country roads plus understand the importance of driving to the conditions.
This training will be presented by Driver Risk Management on behalf of the RAC Safe Travels initiative.

• Serviceability / prestart/ mid trip checks/ loads/ aerodynamics
• Journey management- planning/ gps/ resources
• Fatigue- about fatigue/ before the trip/ taking breaks
• Driving- speed to conditions/ visibility/ gravel/ time of day/ cruise control/ dropping a wheel/ wind effects/ following distance
• Distractions
• Overtaking
