Quitting Cannabis 1-6 Sessions

This workshop was developed by the National Cannabis Prevention and Information Centre (NCPIC). It is specifically designed for clinicians who treat people experiencing problematic cannabis use. The workshop covers a comprehensive, evidence-based intervention which the clinician may deliver over 1 – 6 sessions.
Some strategies used in the intervention consist of:
- behavioural self-monitoring
- withdrawal symptom management
- mastery of urges and cravings
- relapse prevention.
The intervention is supported by materials which will be demonstrated and provided to participants.
Please Note: Maximum of 15 participants per workshop with the prerequisite of a thorough knowledge of Motivational Interviewing and CBT.
