Description

Are you disabled? Do you work or volunteer with disabled people? Do you want to learn about queer and trans rights and how to create an inclusive and welcoming space for queer and trans people? This workshop is for you!

Two queer disabled presenters will talk about being queer, trans, and disabled, language, what inclusive practice looks like, anti-discrimination law, and what you can do individually or as part of a group/organisation to support queer and trans people.

Accessibility

  • Accessible gender neutral toilets
  • There are seats with armrests and seats without armrests
  • Participants are welcome to stand up, sit down, pace, fidget, or step out for a break at any time
  • This event is not scent free but we ask participants to avoid wearing strong scents if possible

We're running this workshop once on a weekday and once on a weekend so more people can make it, and both sessions will cover the same content.
