PACT Centre for Emerging Artists, Erskineville
We are thrilled to invite you to join us at PACT Centre for Emerging Artists for a party and performance night to celebrate queer performance, queer bodies, and queer perspectives.
Kicking off at 6pm with the smooth sounds of DJ Hip Hop Hoe, come early for a snag, a sparkling and maybe even a surprise roving-performance to ease you into the main event.
Taking the stage at 7pm a series of sharp and short works will be on show, MC’d by the incomparable Victoria Spence. Residency artist KoCo Carey will hula around the expectations of the queer body, showing the beginnings of a performance work created with mentor Latai Taumoepeau. She will be followed by our fantastic workshop participants cracking whips and casting spells under the direction of Chris Ryan, and to close the night Bhenji Ra will dazzle with a display of diasporic difference.
Then its time to dance, dance, dance into the night with Stereogamous on call to keep energy high and bring everyone together for a sweaty celebration of the nu normal.
Your suggested $15 donation contributes to the continuation of the Queer Development Program!
