FRINGE 2020 AUDITION NOTICE

QUEER HOUSE RULES

Written and Directed by GUY HENDERSON

SUNDAY 20TH OCTOBER

SATURDAY 26TH OCTOBER

VENUE: THE LITTLE THEATRE

PERFORMANCE DATES: 25th FEB– 1st MARCH 2020

Set in the messy lounge room of an Adelaide share house, "Queer House Rules" follows three queer housemates as they attempt to prepare for a surprise house inspection that will determine whether they will be evicted. As time ticks closer to the inspection, each reflect on what living together in the house means to them, whether as an escape from their dead-end jobs, their failed university degrees, or a place where they don’t have to feel pressured to mediate their queer identities. "Queer House Rules" explores topical and relevant issues of queer identities in a private living space, millennial burnout, and the female friendship at the core of this story.
