About this event
Please note: Ticketing for this event will close 12noon Thursday 4 August 2022.
Acacias provide habitat, building products, and food. They sustain animals and insects, and are critical to the health of the land. We appreciate their beauty and symbolism, and the incredible variety in colour, foliage and form. With almost 1000 Australian species, ‘wattles’ are widely distributed, although a number are threatened or vulnerable. Take a closer look at some of the familiar, and the not-so-well-known, examples of this emblematic genus.
This walk requires average physical activity, including walking distances up to 500m, possibly some uneven ground but mainly paved paths. Stops are short and mainly for guide explanations. Some short standing periods or sitting if required. Please wear closed in shoes and a hat, bring a water bottle and meet at the Visitor Information Centre.
