Queens of Dreambeyan: An Introduction to Portraiture with Yamile Tafur Rios

A mixed-media workshop for adults where you’ll create a playful, imaginative portrait inspired by your own idea of a “Queen.”

In this 2 hour workshop, particpants will explore symbolism, experiment with materials, and bring their unique vision to life in a fun, creative session. From historical queens to drag queens, the theme is completely open to interpretation. Materials provided, however participants are encouraged to bring along a photo of their Queen inspired subjects.

This workshop is facillitated by Yamile Tafur Rios. Yamile is a Colombian artist and educator based in Canberra, working across painting, drawing and mixed media. She is passionate about community driven projects, and has led a number of community arts programs, including the Multicultural Women's 'Chat and Make Art' out of Tuggeranong Arts Centre.

This workshop is designed for adults. It is a free event, however spaces are limited. Secure your spot by registering now.
