About this event

An in-depth introduction to Quality Assurance (QA) Panels under the Authorisation of Restrictive Practices in Funded Disability Services Policy (available on the Authorisation of Restrictive Practices website).


This Introductory Session is available to:

  • Behaviour Support Practitioners who have been confirmed suitable to practice as Behaviour Support Practitioners by the NDIS Commission
  • QA Panels Senior Managers/Delegates who have completed the Introduction to Positive Behaviour Support for Senior Manager/Delegates on QA Panels. (Registration for this Introductory Session and the PBS session can be made at the same time to secure a place in this Introductory Session, but the PBS session must be completed prior to commencing the Introductory Session).


This free 3-hour interactive session will cover:

  • the purpose of the QA Panels
  • requirements and roles on QA Panels
  • the principles guiding the authorisation of restrictive practices
  • application of the principles to inform the authorisation decision
  • QA Panel governance
  • an interactive discussion of a QA Panel scenario.

The session will be facilitated via the Microsoft Teams online meeting platform.
